There are few things more exciting than a new product launch. There’s always so much anticipation leading up to the actual launch day. Today, I am pleased to finally announce the latest addition to the Switchvox and Digium Cloud Services (DCS) family of products, Switchvox Rescue!
Switchvox Rescue is an important addition because it provides Switchvox on-premises customers with a business continuity solution to protect against unexpected downtime. No longer do Switchvox customers have to worry about fire, flooding, power outage, Internet service outage or any other costly event that could risk bringing business communications to a halt. When one of these events occurs, Rescue kicks in and keeps your messaging and auto attendants running, while routing calls to mobile and landline phones.
Here’s how it works:
Switchvox Rescue works together with a user’s on-site Switchvox appliance to maintain a recent copy of the system configuration at a DCS secure data center. When an unexpected event occurs that causes the system to become unresponsive, Rescue restores that configuration to a Switchvox Cloud system at DCS, upon notification by the customer. Once your users are up and running, they can use Switchvox’s powerful call routing to deliver calls.
