Asterisk Community: Get Ready for Best AstriCon Ever – Orlando 2015

By David Duffett

If you’re part of the Asterisk community – or wanting to get started with Asterisk, then this year’s AstriCon is one event you do not want to miss. With the deadline for submitting speaking ideas closed, I can tell you that we have had more submissions than in any previous year!
But that’s not the best of it… Quantity is one thing, but the quality of this year’s speaking submissions is absolutely outstanding. It is setting up to be one of the most interesting AstriCons in the event’s history.

To begin, I am delighted to report that people from well known organizations, including Red Hat, Twilio, Kamailio (the open source SIP server) and NTT (in Japan) have all made submissions. So, too, have many Asterisk specialists, developers, integrators and enthusiasts from others parts of the community. If the above was not enough, we also have FreePBX World being hosted at AstriCon this year, so there will be a chance to hear from all your favorite folk from this popular Asterisk-based distro and GUI. They’ll have lots of news, demos and tutorials to share as part of this track at AstriCon.

When you consider that we will also feature talks from core members of Digium’s Asterisk development team, it makes for a high quality, highly engaging and high octane mix of talks, demos, and panel discussions at this popular event. Of course, another amazing benefit of Astricon is that it provides opportunities to hang out with lots of other Asterisk people, who are all enthusiastic about the world’s most powerful, most flexible and most well-adopted open source communications platform.

And our keynotes – I can’t wait to tell you about them…

Stay tuned for details of keynoters, individual speakers and general sessions as the journey towards the number one MUST ATTEND EVENT of the year for those serious about Asterisk.

BTW, not only is this year a record for speaking submissions, but we’re also well ahead of previous AstriCons in terms of numbers of registrations and exhibitors. Space is truly booking up fast. If you haven’t already, reserve your spot, now.

The dates: October 13-15, Orldando, FL
