Massive Speaking Interest for AstriCon 2017: Submit Your Talk Now

By David Duffett

AstriCon is the focal point of the year for the Asterisk Community, and although the deadline for speaking submission entries is May 31st, we have already had more than 80 responses from community members interested in speaking – and with typically only 40-45 speaking slots available, that means we are potentially way overbooked, already!

Don’t let that put you off making your speaking submission – but don’t delay either as competition for slots is fierce this year.  We’ll review all the submissions just after the deadline to submit is closed – and speaking slots will be awarded on merit. (And, did I mention that successful speaking submissions get the speaker a FREE all-access pass?) The bounty of outstanding speaking submissions mean one thing for certain: it’s excellent news for the over 800 people that attend AstriCon, as they will get to see the absolute cream of the crop in terms of presentations about Asterisk and related topics.

Of course, many of the speakers are also eager attendees at AstriCon, and this is because they understand the wealth of information and experience that is to be found there.

Whether you are new to Asterisk and want help getting started or you’re a seasoned Asterisk user wanting to see the latest Asterisk developments, or you’re looking to investigate the ecosystem of product and service offerings in the Expo hall… there is something for you.

This annual demonstration of the Community Spirit that exists in such abundance in the Asterisk Open Source project is not to be missed. If you have not yet saved the dates (October 3-5) and booked your AstriCon passes, now is the time to do so!

There are so many #ReasonsToAttendAstriCon, and we have been putting some out on Facebook and Twitter (you can see them ) – but there are plenty more, so keep a lookout for them.

See you in Florida!
