As we continue our National Small Business Week celebration, we’d like to highlight an inspiring success story from one of our valued customers – Delicato Family Vineyards.
When people think of America, entrepreneurship is often one of the first things that come to mind. After all, this country was built on entrepreneurship; and for hundreds of years, people have left their home countries for America’s shores for the chance to experience the endless opportunities here.
When you think about the sacrifice and determination it must take to come to a foreign land and build a dream from scratch, it’s beyond inspiring. And to see a business that was started nearly a century ago still thriving today is even more inspiring – and Delicato Family Vineyards has done just that.
Gaspare Indelicato came to America as an Italian immigrant more than 100 years ago. Being from a family that had grown wine grapes for generations in Italy, Gaspare decided to plant a vineyard in Manteca, California with the help of his three sons. In 1924, they started Delicato Family Vineyards, and today it is one of the fastest growing wine companies in the world.
Family owned and operated, this third generation family business compiles over 90 years of experience to deliver a truly great product to their customers. Having built their business on the cornerstones of innovation, quality, and environmental stewardship, it should come as no surprise that Delicato Family Vineyards is recognized as one of America’s top ten fastest growing wine companies.
Chris Indelicato, the CEO and President of Delicato Family Vineyards, highlights the epitome of the American dream his grandfather embraced: “My grandfather Gaspare came to this country with nothing more than a dream. It took decades of hard work, but he was able to make that dream come true.”
We here at Digium are especially proud to shine a spotlight on Delicato Family Vineyards during National Small Business Week as a top example of a successful small business and American entrepreneurship.
