Services
Support Technician
Respond to email and telephone-based customer support requests for Digium products, including Asterisk and Zaptel. Provide technical support for complex environments that may include the Linux operating system and third-party products. Qualified applicants will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrate reliable performance in a team environment. Must possess the ability to manage time wisely, to maintain detailed technical records, and to handle customer requests in a professional manor. Experience with Linux is required; additional experience in any of the fields of customer service, telecommunications, TCP/IP networking, systems administration, or programming is desired.
Sales
Inside Channel Account Manager
The Inside Reseller Account Manager (ICAM) will be responsible for qualifying, establishing and ensuring the success of our resellers. These responsibilities center first and foremost on securing new sales of our products and services, and in expanding existing accounts through joint marketing and sales efforts. Additionally the position is responsible for the recruitment, training, and development of our resellers/VAR in conjunction with the field based Channel Account Managers (CAMs).
Create and execute a territory and/or account business plan focused on resale activity in the telephony and IP PBX markets as well as reseller/VAR development. Propose tactics to increase sales and awareness within the reseller community. Support and leverage other reseller efforts, field marketing, product launches, product promotions, tele-sales, and other lead or sales generating programs. Experience with sales in a multiple distribution tiered business is essential. The ideal candidate must demonstrate an ability to excel within a cross-functional team environment and have the ability to accurately forecast reseller sales activity. Candidate should exhibit strong strategic thinking, initiative and leadership skills. This position reports to the Director of Global Reseller Sales.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Must have in-depth knowledge and mastery of the selling process, including: strategic account planning extended resource engagement, sales cycle, etc.
- Identify, evaluate and validate reseller partners, then contract, build, support and manage reseller relationships
- Work with resellers and our marketing team in achieving and sustaining annual sales and gross margin targets
- Manage the deployment of marketing programs directed at attracting and/or sustaining qualified reseller partners
- Key strength is the ability to articulate company's product strategic and technical benefits and advantages relative to competitor offerings
- Support reseller partners on joint sales and joint marketing activities
- Provide best-in-class reseller support
- Work with CAM to drive business within respective territories
- 2 years successful track record in relationship based reseller account management
- Broad experience of selling in the software industry or telephony/PBX industry
- Successful track record of exceeding bookings and margin goals
- Self-starter with the flexibility to lead, manage or contribute to changing market and sales needs with tactics that respond well to reseller needs
- Excellent planning, organization, and communication skills with a strong partner focus in driving sales through various resellers
- Previous experience with Salesforce.com preferred
- Microsoft Office skills essential
Information Technologies
Enterprise Applications Administrator
Develop and maintain Dynamics Great Plains (GP) Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, and Salesforce.com Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems. Customize and configure workflow to allow the integration of ERP system, CRM system, custom order systems, and other client/server applications. Work with the Digium IT department, ERP Team, and Custom Development team to analyze, recommend, and implement world-class solutions for evolving business requirements. Regularly evaluate ERP and CRM configuration to ensure the system is meeting corporate needs. A qualified candidate will possess strong communication and business skills, in addition to experience with Dynamics GP. A BS degree in MIS or similar field, and 3-5 years experience administrating ERP and CRM systems are required. Experience with Salesforce.com is highly desirable.
Engineering
Analog Hardware Engineer
The Analog Hardware Engineer will be responsible for the development and support of analog telephony interface hardware. Duties include board and system level design of PCI based telecom products. Requirements include a minimum of 5 yrs experience in analog telephony, or equivalent analog background. Experience in DSP development, as well as knowledge of software drivers (especially Linux), is a plus. BSEE is required.
DVT Technician
The DVT Technician will have responsibility for all facets of the design verification test process for Digium, Switchvox, and OEM Asterisk telephony appliances. This responsibility includes, among other things, the compilation of test requirements, the writing of test procedures, the performing of design verification tests, and the documentation of test results. Other duties may include the following: prepare appliance units for external purposes such as beta sites and compliance testing; test Digium telephony board products and Asterisk Business Edition on a limited basis; assemble prototype appliances; perform competitive analysis of appliance products; provide training to tech support, PQ, and field sales representatives.
The successful candidate for the position of DVT Technician should be actively pursuing or have completed an Associates degree or higher in a technology-related program of study. The applicant must also have excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will be expected to have the abilities to manage time wisely, to maintain detailed technical records, and to perform both independently and in a team environment. One year experience with computer hardware, the Linux® operating system, and Asterisk strongly suggested. Knowledge of telephony, telecommunications, sysadmin, scripting in Perl or Python, and C programming will also be a plus.
Senior Product Qualification Specialist
The Senior Product Qualification Specialist will be responsible for the creation, development, and documentation of formal test plans, methodology, and test systems for VoIP, networking, and telephony software. Other responsibilities will include: the creation of test lab configurations for general test cases and specific problem scenarios; develop programs and scripts to automate testing; work closely with partners and software developers to create and administer tests for networking and VoIP products; assist and mentor software test technicians.
The successful candidate for the position of Senior Product Qualification Specialist will have 5 years experience supporting and testing of Telecommunication Equipment such as T1 Multiplexers and PBX's. 1-2 years experience with Linux and at least 3-5 years with two or more of the following; software testing, software development, telephony, and network design. Direct experience with Open Source Software projects is a plus. The candidate be very organized, thorough, and able to quickly and efficiently create effective test scenarios that balance effective test coverage with vital time to market constraints. The Senior Product Qualification Specialist must also have the ability to produce excellent documentation and work well with customers, partners, and teammates as required.
Telecom Software Developer
The Telecom Software Developer will be responsible for the development of telecom protocol software for applications such as BRI, PRI, and SS7. Duties include development and support of protocol software in a Linux environment. Requirements include a strong background in ISDN protocols, as well as developing in a Linux environment. Knowledge of Asterisk, as well as embedded development experience, is a plus.
