Services
Support Technician
Respond to email and telephone-based customer support requests for Digium products, including Asterisk and Zaptel. Provide technical support for complex environments that may include the Linux operating system and third-party products. Qualified applicants will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrate reliable performance in a team environment. Must possess the ability to manage time wisely, to maintain detailed technical records, and to handle customer requests in a professional manor. Experience with Linux is required; additional experience in any of the fields of customer service, telecommunications, TCP/IP networking, systems administration, or programming is desired.

Product Manager, Telephony Cards
Since 2001, Digium® has designed, manufactured, and sold PC-based telephony cards for extending the functionality of Asterisk® for TDM to VoIP gateways and voice processing. All Digium analog and digital cards are RoHS compliant and manufactured in an ISO 9001:2001 certified facility in the United States. Each Digium card is backed by a five (5) year hardware warranty as well as our Exceptional Satisfaction Program (ESP). Digium continues to be ranked number one in the Asterisk-based market share.
The Telephony Cards Product Manager is responsibile for sustaining and growing Digium's market leadership for PCI and PCI-Express telephony cards. You will be responsible for new product designs as well as the management and growth of existing products. You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy with the drive to deliver whole products ahead of schedule.
Digium is an exciting environment where all employees have an effect on the success of the company and its products. The Telephony Cards Product Manager will communicate with all areas of the company in order to drive new programs as well as maintain and grow those plans already in place. You will work closely with board engineering and product qualification departments to achieve your goals. You will work with marketing, sales, and channel management to define the go-to-market strategy, product positioning, and the key milestones to deliver products to market.

The successful candidate will be the internal and external evangelist for Digium telephony cards. How does one become an advocate for hardware? You'll create materials that will show the strengths, weaknesses and benefits of Digium products vs. those of our competitors and deliver that message to sales and customers collateral, manual content, and our corporate blog. You'll work with the community relations leader at Digium to ensure the Asterisk community gets the messages and knows about your products on mailing lists and web sites related to Digium and Asterisk.
Highlighted Responsibilities:
- Life cycle management for all telephony cards including planning, production, release, launch and sustaining through end of life
- Cooperatively developing market (MRD) and product requirements (PRD) including input from peers, sales, customers, channels, and engineering to finalize definitions and requirements including Digium and Switchvox system appliance requirements
- Executing go-to-market plan jointly with all departments as required to achieve success
- Maintaining close attention to specific OEM deliverables, and product launch goals relevant to specific OEM objectives as necessary
- Track competitors, create competitive “how to win” materials, and provide competitive analysis
- Perform training for sales personnel, distributors and resellers including webinars and podcasts as necessary
- Maintains current knowledge of customers' business needs, industry trends, and product solutions
- Manage product margins setting pricing and pricing strategies in cooperation with sales
- Document and manage life cycle processes with engineering and the ISO9001 Committee
- A minimum of 3 years in product management or as a specialist working with hardware engineering teams in design, development, quality, and production operations through product release life cycle phase
- Strong analytical, problem solving, strategic thinking skills with the ability to influence others

Marketing
Web Designer
Do you have a passion for web design, social media, and communication? Do you have the ability to use these tools to maintain and grow a community of users? If you don't think that a tweet is just something that a bird does, then the Web Designer position with Digium may be a good fit for you. Digium web sites are central to Digium's marketing and sales processes. A Web Designer at Digium has a critical role in the success of the company.
The Web Designer at Digium will work closely with the Marketing team to design, implement, and maintain company web sites. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, will include the day-to-day chores associated with web site maintenance, as well as finding new ways to best communicate Digium's message through new designs, web 2.0 mashups, and an integration of multiple resources into cohesive, interesting web sites (yes there is more than one). You will need excellent communication skills so that you may interact with all the resources needed to get things done. Since there is a lot for a Web Designer to manage, you'll have to be a highly motivated problem solver who is proactive and can drive your projects to completion.
Got the skills? The successful Web Designer candidate must have: 2-5 years of commercial website design and development; hands on proficiency with CSS, XHTML, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Java Script; Understanding of dynamic page construction, page layout, and usability; knowledge of Subversion for website publishing; Experience with Macromedia Flash and digital video in Mac environment a plus; Ability to mulit-task and work under tight deadlines; Knowledge and demonstrated experience with cross browser (Firefox, Safari, IE, etc) and cross-platform issues (Mac, Linux, Windows); Knowledge of current web-design trends and techniques; SEO/SEM: analyze, plan and implement viable SEO and SEM strategies to maximize site promotion and branding; Self motivated, detail-oriented, accountable and organized; copywriting skills, and knowledge of PHP a plus; local candidates only.

Information Technologies
Enterprise Applications Administrator
Develop and maintain Dynamics Great Plains (GP) Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, and Salesforce.com Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems. Customize and configure workflow to allow the integration of ERP system, CRM system, custom order systems, and other client/server applications. Work with the Digium IT department, ERP Team, and Custom Development team to analyze, recommend, and implement world-class solutions for evolving business requirements. Regularly evaluate ERP and CRM configuration to ensure the system is meeting corporate needs. A qualified candidate will possess strong communication and business skills, in addition to experience with Dynamics GP. A BS degree in MIS or similar field, and 3-5 years experience administrating ERP and CRM systems are required. Experience with Salesforce.com is highly desirable.
Engineering
Analog Hardware Engineer
The Analog Hardware Engineer will be responsible for the development and support of analog telephony interface hardware. Duties include board and system level design of PCI based telecom products. Requirements include a minimum of 5 yrs experience in analog telephony, or equivalent analog background. Experience in DSP development, as well as knowledge of software drivers (especially Linux), is a plus. BSEE is required.
DVT Technician
The DVT Technician will have responsibility for all facets of the design verification test process for Digium, Switchvox, and OEM Asterisk telephony appliances. This responsibility includes, among other things, the compilation of test requirements, the writing of test procedures, the performing of design verification tests, and the documentation of test results. Other duties may include the following: prepare appliance units for external purposes such as beta sites and compliance testing; test Digium telephony board products and Asterisk Business Edition on a limited basis; assemble prototype appliances; perform competitive analysis of appliance products; provide training to tech support, PQ, and field sales representatives.
The successful candidate for the position of DVT Technician should be actively pursuing or have completed an Associates degree or higher in a technology-related program of study. The applicant must also have excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will be expected to have the abilities to manage time wisely, to maintain detailed technical records, and to perform both independently and in a team environment. One year experience with computer hardware, the Linux® operating system, and Asterisk strongly suggested. Knowledge of telephony, telecommunications, sysadmin, scripting in Perl or Python, and C programming will also be a plus.
Hardware Design Engineer
The Hardware Design Engineer will be responsible for PCB design and project management for communications products. Primary responsibilities include; hardware architecture design, schematic design and capture, PCB layout review, prototype testing, and troubleshooting of regulatory compliance issues. During the design process, you will be expected to effectively use development and debugging tools. The hardware design engineer will also interact with firmware and software teams, as well as suppliers and contract manufacturers, during the different phases of the design process.
Job Requirements:
- 2 to 5 years of hardware design experience.
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to meet tight schedules.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills a must.
- Experience with high speed data buses and signal integrity issues required.
- Experience with regulatory EMI/EMC compliance requirements is preferred.
- Fundamental knowledge of analog design principles and FPGA/CPLD design using schematic capture and/or VHDL a plus.
Senior Product Qualification Specialist
The Senior Product Qualification Specialist will be responsible for the creation, development, and documentation of formal test plans, methodology, and test systems for VoIP, networking, and telephony software. Other responsibilities will include: the creation of test lab configurations for general test cases and specific problem scenarios; develop programs and scripts to automate testing; work closely with partners and software developers to create and administer tests for networking and VoIP products; assist and mentor software test technicians.
The successful candidate for the position of Senior Product Qualification Specialist will have 5 years experience supporting and testing of Telecommunication Equipment such as T1 Multiplexers and PBX's. 1-2 years experience with Linux and at least 3-5 years with two or more of the following; software testing, software development, telephony, and network design. Direct experience with Open Source Software projects is a plus. The candidate be very organized, thorough, and able to quickly and efficiently create effective test scenarios that balance effective test coverage with vital time to market constraints. The Senior Product Qualification Specialist must also have the ability to produce excellent documentation and work well with customers, partners, and teammates as required.
