Digium Asterisk World Set to Make Big Debut at Fall VON
New Conference Dedicated to Advancing Open Source IP Communications for Business; Asterisk Creator Mark Spencer to Keynote
Huntsville, AL — October 23, 2007 — Digium®, Inc., the Asterisk® Company, today announced new details for Digium|Asterisk World, a conference solely dedicated to advancing open source IP telephony communications in business environments. This year marks the debut of Digium|Asterisk World, scheduled for October 30-31 in Boston, MA. Registration for the event is open at www.digiumasteriskworld.com.
The Digium|Asterisk World conference will be co-located with Fall VON, the longest running and most well respected IP communications event in the industry. Attendees will have access to both shows and have the opportunity to see demonstrations of the latest open source IP communications technology, including Digium's new Asterisk Appliance and the recently acquired Switchvox advanced web services based GUI.
Asterisk creator and Digium CTO Mark Spencer will present the Industry Perspective keynote address, "The Road Ahead is Open" which will include new and exciting evidence of Asterisk's growing business presence around the world.
Digium|Asterisk World attendees will also hear real-world case studies from businesses leveraging open source telephony in new and innovative ways as well as tutorials from Digium partners, customers and developers.
