Digital Cards

Digium's super-reliable digital line cards connect Asterisk-based communication systems to T1, E1, J1 and ISDN-BRI interfaces. Digium digital interface cards can be used to connect Asterisk with service from telephone carriers or to interface with legacy communications equipment. All Digium digital cards include a built-in CSU/DSU and may be connected directly to the E1/T1 physical interface without the need for additional hardware.

Hybrid Cards

The Digium Hx8 Series are high-performance, cost-effective hybrid analog and BRI interface cards providing the capability to seamlessly integrate basic rate and analog ports in a single card slot.

Voice Compression Cards

Digium's voice compression cards enhance the capabilities of Asterisk in VoIP and Hybrid Environments. TC cards are transcoders; they convert phone calls from one encoding format to another, usually to save on bandwidth. Our voice compression cards are both capable of compressing/decompressing 120 channels of G.729 or 92 channels of G.723.1.

Failover Appliances

The R-Series appliances allow Asterisk users and integrators to build fully redundant communications systems. The R-Series devices handle the physical redirection of PSTN circuits in the event of a catastrophic hardware or software failure. Tightly integrated with monitoring and resource management software, the R-Series can switch PSTN traffic within seconds of a service interruption. A pair of Asterisk-based servers cross-connected through an R-Series appliance can achieve 99.99% availability at a fraction of the cost of other redundant communications solutions.
