Open Source Asterisk
You can get the full open source Asterisk in two forms:
- As a raw source code which you can compile and install
- As a complete Linux distribution.
Which of the following better describes you:
1. Asterisk
I'm an experience Linux user and am familiar with compiling software using the standard Linux/GNU tools. I either already have a Linux system built or feel comfortable installing my own using standard distributions.
2. AsteriskNOW
Let's keep this simple. I want to toss in a CD, fire up the PC and badda-bing, badda-boom I've got me an Asterisk box. No messing around with dependencies or other Linux complexities. Just do it.
