Whether you want to be an Asterisk Guru, administrator or developer or just learn a little more about Asterisk, DigiumĀ® offers the Asterisk training to meet your needs
Asterisk training is offered at different locations several times throughout the year.
The Digium-Certified Asterisk Professional (dCAP) certification is a verification of your knowledge of Asterisk. The certification covers a specific released, stable version of Asterisk. The program is offered at the end of the Asterisk Advanced training course.
The dCAP test consists of a 115 question written exam concerning Asterisk and Asterisk-related technology, and a hands-on practical lab exam in which you are asked to configure a PBX according to a given specification..
Note: Taking the Asterisk Advanced course does not guarantee that you will pass the dCAP exam.
To pass the dCAP exam, it is recommended that you have read Asterisk: The Definitive Guide, 3rd Edition by O'Reilly, have actual working knowledge of setting up and maintaining an Asterisk server, have familiarity with the Asterisk sample configuration files, and have taken the Asterisk Advanced course. Information on open source Asterisk can be found at Asterisk.org.
To enroll for dCAP certification, select the Asterisk Advanced course in the Course Locator. To take the certification separately, please call Training to schedule a date and location.
Professionals in Asterisk have knowledge of a specific released, stable version of Asterisk, and have completed a hands-on practical lab in which a PBX must be configured according to a given specification.
The Digium Certified Asterisk Administrator (dCAA) program is intended to validate basic competency with Asterisk. It requires general telephony and VoIP knowledge as well as specific Asterisk knowledge related to installing, configuring, and administering an Asterisk system. dCAA certification lasts 2 years and is awarded after earning a passing score on the dCAA examination.
The dCAA exam is administered online and consists of 60 multiple-choice questions testing your knowledge of Asterisk, VoIP, and telephony. To pass the dCAA exam, it is recommended that you have experience administering an Asterisk system, and are comfortable installing, configuring, and maintaining an Asterisk server using Linux and Asterisk CLI commands. Those wishing to prepare for the dCAA are encouraged to enroll in our Asterisk Fast Start training course. Information on open source Asterisk can be found at Asterisk.org.
To register to take the dCAA examination, enroll in an Asterisk Fast Start course on the Asterisk Course Schedule page or take now.
